I'm looking for a young adult in which the main character uses some supernatural power to cheat at a casino.

An example might be the beginning of "Mind Dimensions" by Dima Zales & Anna Zaires.

Have you ever tried cheating at a casino?

I'll start off by saying i don't give a shit about your morality, so save it for someone who does care.
I volunteered to be a dealer in a low-stakes tournament (while also playing) and I swapped raggy cards with mucked cards one time.
In the same tournament while at another table with another player dealing, I saw (what I was pretty sure to be) the dealer using a shuffling technique to deal themselves high-value cards (i know this because I've been practising the same technique)
Made final 4 with a friend in another tournament and we agreed to soft play each other and chop heads up. This was vs 2 others who we're definitely friends and would be surprised if they didn't have the same idea as us.
I've shorted my BB and SB a few times too
I've also considered pocketing a single 25k chip after busting to add to my stack in a future tournament.

Cheated at a casino by my coworkers

28, M, White. I love to bet/gamble and I have been counting cards for a while and think its fun. Yesterday I really wanted to go to the casino and play some blackjack, so I went to bed fairly early because I was tired and wanted to make the trip in the morning. During the night, I had a dream that I was at a casino and all my coworkers were there. I was playing with some friends and the blackjack dealer was someone from my work. I was betting big and the dealer was cheating and taking my money unfairly. I was trying to dispute it but then I was in a meeting with all my coworkers and supervisors and no one seemed to be on my side. I never got my money back and I woke up. What does this mean? I dont plan on going anymore

You and your buddy cheated at a casino, but they caught you. They brought you to a secret room where your buddy is, and they smashed his hand with a Sledgehammer. They said you can keep the money, but lose your hand, or walk away without the money. What do you do?

Las Vegas Craps stories (forgot to post from my Dec trip)

Story one - This story happens at South Point Casino, just a few miles south of Mandalay Bay. Locals place. $5 tables (almost always). They had 4 tables open, 3 were 5 and 1 was 10. I was on the 5 dollar tables, left of stick. The dice were straight out on the other side of the table. Old guy, 70s or later was in the middle of a decent roll. An older Asian guy walks up beside him, drops 5 $100 bills before they could send the dice to the shooter. Guy says "All of it on the field". The table kinda glares at the guy. The dealer across from me says "Just look straight forward, don't look around. Everything will be fine". They put 5 black chips in the field. Shooter rolls a 3. Nobody gets hurt since a point is established (I feel likt the point was 9, but I don't remember). Field guy picks up $500 and leaves $500. Says to the shooter "Do it again". Shooter rolls a 4. Asian guy throws a black in, asks for change. Dealer gives the guy 4 green chips. The field guy tosses the shooter a green chip and leaves with $1475 and doesn't tip the dealers. Dealers grumble, we all look around and continue with the point. That's a lot of action for a $5 table. I just shrugged.
Story two - Bally's. $10 table. Their tables has the repeater bets. There are 3 of us on the table, mostly playing 3 numbers or a few come bets. Guy buys in for 2K, just wants green. Puts $50 on the line, $25 on the 6 repeater and $5 on the 6 repeater for the dealers. He also put $25 on the 3 and 11 repeater. I get the dice. I'm having a pretty decent roll. I hit 5 6's, so I need one more 6 to hit that repeater bet. All of the sudden everyone is betting the hard six, pressing their six etc. Money is all over the place. I had my 6 at $60 if I remember correctly. I hit the 6 on the next roll. The dude jumped up and down, came down to me and I thought he was going to hug me during the pandemic. Instead I get an elbow dab. He makes (if I did the math right 25*90) $2250 and the dealers got $450 (to which they thanks the shooter and myself). I think I hit a few more numbers and 7ed out. I was down pretty low on my $200 buyin before the roll and left with $350 or so. That was fun, crazy and scary all at the same time.
Story three - Jerry's Nugget (N. Las Vegas, just a few miles north of El Cortez). $3 table. It's full. At the far end is a dude (with face tattoos) and his friend. Things were going smoothly. Table was luke warm. Shooter would hit 1 point and 7 out. No really good rolls. Guy beside me is shooting and hits a point. The face tattoo guy quickly makes a passline bet with odds (which he didn't have) as the dealer is paying people. The dealer notices and starts yelling at the guy "We don't pull that shit here. You do that again and you will be on your ass outside. Don't cheat at our casino". Box guy comes over, warns the guy. EVERYONE decides it's time to color up. The face guy's friend tells him to knock it off. Don't be an asshole. I got to Jerry's a few times each trip and haven't seen this before.
Story four (and final story). - Binions, downtown. $5 table. Nothing too special to talk about. The girls aren't in their cowboy outfits, instead have referee jerseys on. Still they look pretty good. Guy walks in and starts chatting with the stick girl. Decides to buy in beside her for 4K. $4000 on a $5 table. Playing all greens, being a big tough guy and flirting with the stick girl. I'm always nervous seeing that much money out on a $5 table, glad I wasn't rolling. A few bad rolls wipes him out and he leaves. He was power pressing and trying to make a big score. No dice!

Management games where you can be a sleazebag

I'm coming off from playing Casino Inc., old ass game from 2003 where you ran a casino. In it, you can technically just try to optimize your casino to make as much money as possible, but of course that is very boring so the game offers you the option to use hitmen to kill people in other casinos and flood it with police officers, disrupting the traffic. You can send cheats to cheat at other casinos. You can buy every billboard in town and kill marketing for the competition. You can allow teenagers inside your casino and put escorts around. Basically, you can be a massive shithead. Problem is the game crashes a lot and is old af.
So I was looking for other PC management games where you can be that sort of guy, but where the game itself doesn't take itself too seriously on these matters (I'm excluding here games like Prison Architect, for instance, because that I feel takes itself more seriously).

LPT: if you play blackjack at a casino, print out a cheat sheet (which most casinos allow) and take it with you. It will tell you how to correctly play every scenario.

There are different cheat sheets depending on number of decks. If you follow the sheet, without counting cards, the house will have about a 1 percent advantage.
Ignore advice from other players at the table who claim to know the statistically correct play that differ from the sheet, especially the guy sitting before you who complains that you took the dealer's bust card.

Gambling session. Fun ways to run gambling and cheating?

I’m running a rogues campaign and the players want to work with a con artist and cheat at a casino.
What are fun exciting games of chance I can run for them and how can I make it fun for them to cheat?

HAZBIN HOTEL: SUFFERING BEHIND THE SURFACE part three

Halfway through, and I hope you're still enjoying. There's part one and two in case you missed them.
<><><>
Gunfire ripped through the air. “Medic,” one soldier shouted as he laid down fire with his M60 light machinegun. “Medic!” He looked back at his buddy laying on the ground behind him, steadily bleeding out from a hole in his gut. “Shit. Hold in there, buddy. Help is on the way.”
“I don't feel so good, Sarge,” the Marine groaned. “You gotta help me, man. Feels like my guts are falling out. I can't feel my legs.”
“Just a bullet to the gut, Private. You'll be...”
“Stay down,” the medic shouted as he appeared at their side. “Sarge, we've got guys coming up on our right. You gotta keep these assholes off me long enough to get him out.”
“Just tell me we're not going to be having to trek back to base in this motherfucking swamp!” He unleashed his machinegun and turned several Vietnamese soldiers into pulp. Checking his ammunition supply, he added, “almost out here.” A bullet zipped by and put a gash in his shoulder. “Fucker.” Then he let rip with his machinegun one last time, pumping all of his remaining ammunition into a group of enemy combatants.
“They've got a gunship and some helicopters on their way. ETA, ten minutes.”
“Fuck, we'll be corpses for five of those.” He threw away the hulking machinegun and picked his M16 off the ground. “Get Menendez patched up and drag him to safety. I'll cover for you.”
“You're hit!”
“In the fucking arm, man. I'm fine. Get my man out of here.”
“Right, I...” A bullet punched clean through the medic's neck, and he fell over, gushing blood from the wound.
“God damn it.”
“Sarge?”
“Don't worry Menendez. You're going to be fine. We'll get you out of here.”
“Sarge?”
“What the fuck did I just say?” He pumped more ammunition into the jungle, trying his best to hold off the enemy assault.
“Sarge...I...I really don't feel so good.”
“You'll be fine, private. I've got you.” He slammed a new magazine into his rifle and returned fire. The barrel was starting to heat up, and the heat from it was causing distortions in the wet jungle air. He could even feel the forward furniture warming up as the gas tube for the rifle's action began to overheat.
Then it happened. He could almost feel the gas tube fail, and his gun became nothing more than a bolt action rifle. But he wasn't going to let that stop him. Even if it killed him, he was going to save as many of his men as he could. Throwing his rifle aside, he snatched up the medic's experimental carbine. Both guns used the same magazines, so he knew he'd be able to hold his position just a little longer.
“Husker?”
“Yeah?”
“Take care of my wife and kids for me...'kay?”
<><><>
Husk just glared at the two sinners who had started a fight in the lobby. Apparently they had spent the day scamming gamblers and couldn't come to an agreement about who got what percentage of their winnings. Both were activities that were strictly forbidden. Not that he was going to do anything about it. He was tasked with manning the front desk and bar, not breaking up fights and punishing clients who ignored the rules. That responsibility went to someone else.
And she walked in just in time for them to reach the peak of their argument. “What's going on here,” Vaggie demanded to know.
“He's trying to steal my fair earnings from today's work.”
“Bullshit man, I carried the team. I deserve more money.”
“You couldn't do shit if it wasn't for me. The whole thing revolved around me, not you and your fucking show.”
“Bullshit. If the roles were reversed you would have been figured out in no time. Your gambling face sucks.”
“Excuse me,” Vaggie interrupted. “What exactly were you two doing?”
“That's none of your business.”
“They were cheating at the casinos,” Husk revealed between drinks from his bottle.
“Oh, really.” She turned her eyes to the sinners. “Both of you, pack your shit and get out. You've already been warned enough.”
“Whatever bitch. I'm sure we can find somewhere else to live.” The two of them pushed past her and headed up the stairs, now discussing where they should live now that they lost their free room at the hotel.
Vaggie sat at the bar. “You weren't going to step in?”
“Not my job.” He took a long drink from is bottle. “Anyway, I was considering putting an end to it myself, but I'm not quite as...restrained as you are. I'd just break their heads in and take the money for myself.”
“Well, at least you're honest.”
“Just because I'm a sinner doesn't mean I'm a liar.” He passed her a can of soda. “Angel brought these over during a break in filming. He said you might like to try them.”
Her eyes went immediately to the ingredients list, looking for whatever nasty surprise the spider would have for her. Unlike him, she had fully embraced the hotel's mission and wasn't about to risk bringing herself down to the level they were trying to rescue people from. She had to set an example for their clients to follow. “Hmm...nothing weird.” She looked up at Husk. “What's the gag?”
“Gag?”
“Yeah, what is it about this soda that's going to make me regret it?”
“As far as I could tell, they're fine. If you want something more than a simple soda, I could mix a bit of whiskey into it for you.”
“So...it's a perfectly normal soda?”
“Yeah.”
“No...drugs, alcohol, or anything like that?”
“Nope.”
She pushed the can back toward him. “I don't trust it.”
“May I have it then,” Niffty asked as she seemingly appeared from nowhere. Her sheer speed was incredible. While most demons preferred making themselves stronger, her entire world seemed to orbit being fast and clean. A benefit given that she was still the only member of the entire hotel's cleaning staff, and probably the hotel's best asset. “They're really good, and they aren't weird like you'd expect from Angel.”
Vaggie watched her for a second. “Hey, Husk. Give her one too.”
He pushed a drink to each of the girls. “You know, Angel isn't as bad as he'd like you to think.”
“How'd you know?”
“If he were as bad as he acts, I wouldn't ever be able to leave this bar unattended. He doesn't steal from the bar, he keeps his drug use private, and he doesn't bring johns into the hotel.”
“Who's John,” Niffty asked as she set her now empty can on the counter.
“Don't worry about it.”
“Okay. I've gotta clean up some messes. Some of our guests decided to sneak drugs into the hotel last night and now the entire fourth floor is a mess.” She zipped off.
“Makes you wonder how she does that,” Vaggie wondered aloud.
“What? The running?” He shrugged. “I don't know. This is the first time Alastor has ever asked me to work with her.” He drank down some more of his cheap booze. “At least she's good at her job. I see why he'd want her around.”
“Speaking of...Where is he?”
“Last I saw, he was walking out. Don't know what he's up to, but I'm sure he won't be bringing any trouble home to the rest of us.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“You know his reputation just as much as I do. Just can't imagine him not being able to take care of his...” He pressed his palm to his face as five men walked in, all of them dressed in very familiar red suits. “Fucking Hell.”
“You know these guys?”
“Sort of. Some of them came by earlier. Alastor dealt with them pretty quickly.”
“Okay, ass fuck,” the leader of the group said. “Where is that bitch Charlotte?”
Husk just rolled his eyes and looked away, returning his eyes to the TV he spent most of his day watching. “These guys are just as stupid as the last.”
“What the fuck did you just say,” Vaggie demanded as she stood and turned to face them.
“That whore Charlie,” the man clarified. “She needs to come with us.”
She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “If you plan to stay alive, you need to get the hell out of here before you piss me off any more.”
“You don't scare us, little lady.”
“Well...” She flexed her fingers and in a flash of reflected light, summoned her angelic spear. “If you want to end this day with as many limbs as you started, you'd better turn around and leave before I kill all of you.”
“You don't intimidate us. Odds are in our favor. Five against one.” Each of them produced a long knife from in their suits, and she could see the unique shine of an angelic blade. How had a group of thugs managed to get their hands on enough weapons to just carry them around was a question she needed answered. Not that they were ever going to tell the likes of her or anyone else. “Now if you don't want to die, put that thing up and fetch the girl.”
“Pardon me,” Charlie said as she walked into the room. She had been looking for a sip of water, but now it was clear she had bigger things on her plate. “Are you from the same group who came here earlier and broke my door?”
“Yeah. Now, come with us, or we'll make you.”
“Is that so?”
“Yeah. Radio Demon ain't here to protect you now.”
She flexed her neck and entered her demonic form, grinning from ear to ear. “If you think you can make me do anything, feel free to try your best.”
The leader gestured with his hands and his four associates charged forward and brought their knives up to kill her.
But she couldn't be concerned in the least. “I don't like hurting people,” she said as a wall of energy stopped the attackers dead in their tracks. “But that doesn't mean I won't.” She flexed her fingers then snapped, generating a red, demonic circle under their feet. In just a few seconds, bloody hands reached up from inside the circle and grabbed onto the attackers' legs, slowly dragging them into the floor as they screamed and fought. But it was all in vain, and after a painfully long half minute of fighting and terrified screams, they vanished into the floor and the circle faded away.
Charlie returned to her normal form. “Tell your master that if he wants something from me, he needs to schedule an appointment like everyone else.” She waved toward the door. “Now...leave.”
Without even the slightest resistance, the ring leader turned heel and ran out of the building. A few seconds later they heard his car's tires spin out as he drove away.
“Didn't see that one coming,” Husk admitted.
“Charlie,” Vaggie started, finally able to respond to the massive change in her lover's personality. “When...?”
She just wrapped up her girlfriend in her arms. “I told you Vaggie, I can take care of myself.” Taking a step back, she stumbled a bit. “But I'm feeling drained. I'm not like Alastor. I can't just summon those things super easy. But those were serious guys with serious weapons, and I didn't want to risk you getting hurt.”
“Oh, Charlie.” Vaggie kissed her cheek. “Thanks for looking out for me, but it's my job to protect you.”
“We're in love,” she reminded her. “That means we take care of each other.”
“Yeah, that's all well and good,” Husk said from the bar. “But I'd recommend going somewhere private before you pass out. We don't need people to know that using this power makes you so vulnerable.”
“Are you worried about me?”
“Look, I may not be the nicest guy in Hell, but I'm not stupid. If someone realizes that you get this weak after using your powers, they'll come after you as a way of getting at your father. And I don't know about you, but I'd be happier if this city wasn't thrown into chaos by some goons trying to take on the big bad himself, understand?”
“Yeah, I understand. Thanks for looking out for me.”
“Not looking out for you. You die, I lose my job, and I lose my free booze and room. I'm one hundred percent not doing it for you.”

Casino workers, what's the craziest way people have been caught cheating at a game?

Character names and subtle meanings

I’ve noticed a lot of characters have names that foreshadow subtle elements of the episode’s plot. Their names suggest something meaningful that will happen to them or another character later on.
The peddler, Henry J Fate, and his imprinting the fates of both Denton and Grant in the final showdown in the saloon.
Les Goodman, (sounds like less good man) the neighbor who was suspected of being the alien causing havoc on Maple St.
Ace Larsen from Prime Mover. Ace being suggestive of cards or gambling. You could argue he committed larceny by cheating at the casino with Jimbo’s telekinetic powers.
Chester and Paula Diedrich. They used their camera to make lots of money at the race track. Unfortunately for them, they fell out of a window before they could really spend it. This may be less obvious because their last name isn’t verbally pronounced “died rich”.
Any other word plays on names that you can think of?

Pawpaw just got diagnosed.

My grandpa just got diagnosed with dementia. Problem is— he likes to gamble. He’s always been good at it, but the casino is over in Cincinnati and he lives in a town near the Kentucky border. So that’s a problem in it of itself.
Obviously we can’t explain to him. Hes not aware of the dementia. What’s the phrase for that phenomenon? I can’t remember.
I’m scared for the future. My grandma has cancer so soon it’ll get worse. A couple months ago he came crying to her at four Am because he couldn’t figure out how to make coffee. They’ve had the same coffee maker for years. And he doesn’t usually wake up until 8 o’clock. So grandma has a fight with him because she’s tired from chemo.
I’m only fifteen but I’ve been researching and researching, watching Teepa snow videos and trying to prepare. Mom works too much so she can only get down on weekends. Both grandparents are strictly against going into a home. My mom says they’re richer than they let on but both of them lived through the butt of the Great Depression so I doubt they’ll want some live in services.
Pawpaw is early in the disease but if he can’t make a pot of coffee I doubt he should be driving (or gambling. What if he gets cheated at the casino?)
What can I do?

Well, i guess we have the legit leak.

Two days ago this dude during AMA mentioned the Fathier scene from the last chinese trailer:
Basically it ends up being a casino heist, the plan is DJ gets arrested for "cheating" at the casino and goes to jail, then Finn and Rose break out these horse-like racing creatures called Fathiers out into the city causing a ruckus making all of the police leave the station trying to round them up and protect people from them.
So, there are three possibilities:
1)He was really lucky to take a right guess;
2)He saw that trailer two days before us;
3)He knows the real stuff.
What do you think? What do you think about other stuff he mentioned? Ach-To was hit by planetary flood that destroyed the civilization of Whills and Luke's island is the peak of the highest mountain with the "Holy Tree" on it?
